Happy Birthday Kenzie!

Today is precious little Kenzie's 1st Birthday! It's so crazy how fast this year has gone by! It seems like just last week that I raced home to pick up David and went straight to the hospital to meet my beautiful niece for the first time! I immediately fell in love with that little girl and I always jump on the chance to go over to Courtney's house to see her and Kyle! HAPPY BIRTHDAY KENZIE! Uncle David and Aunt Kimber love you!!!

So much fun!

First of all, I would like to point out that this is two days in a row that I am posting something! This is most definitely a first! haha!

Since I work at a bank, I had today off (thank you Columbus!). At first I didn't know what I was going to do with myself all day because usually when I am off on David's working days, I will just go hang out with my mom, but...of course she had to work too. After I took Kyler to school this morning, I decided that I would go over to Courtney's house to play with the kids. I hung out there for a while and tried to teach Kyle the "little lad dance" (if you don't know what that is, Youtube it!!! It's hilarious!) Then I realized that it was lunch time and I was hungry so I decided to take Court and offspring to lunch at Wendy's for a deliciously cheap meal!!! It was so fun and the kids were really good so asked Kyle if he wanted to go play with me at the park. Of course he wasn't going to turn down a fun filled afternoon at the park with his favorite Kimber! ...how could he resist such an offer! haha! So we went over there for a while, but Kenzie started getting really cranky so we decided to leave and go to my mom's because she had told me this morning that she had some homemade brownies with cream cheese frosting in her fridge! DELICIOUS! Since we were already at my mom's we waited for her to get home so they could say hi to grandma! I finally decided I better take the kids home so they could take a nap! haha!

Thanks Courtney for letting me play with you guys today!!! I really did have a lot of fun! Those kids are getting so smart and I love living so close to them and coming over to play with my two favorite kids!!!

i love birthdays!

My birthday was about a week ago and I had some vacation time to burn at work, so I decided to take the weekend off for it! It was such a great weekend! Every year, I ask my mom to make me a really fun cake, and of course she always exceeds my expectations! I've had a caterpillar, a flower, and a turtle so this year I had to continue the tradition and come up with something creative. My mom and I looked on the internet for some good ideas and we found a bunch of really cute cakes (and some....well, some that people should have kept to themselves and not posted on the internet for the world to see!) haha! We had it narrowed down to a few, but we decided to go with an Igloo cake with penguin cupcakes! I was so excited! My long weekend started on Friday, the 3rd (which just so happens to be the day of my birth! hahaha!) David had to go into work for a few hours, so my mom and I went to the store to get the stuff for the cake. When we got home, it was time to start the cake. We had a lot of fun with the cupcakes, and my mom was pretty dang creative with the igloo! The cake turned out to be freaking amazing!!!

That night, we had a bunch of people come over. My mom, Kyler, Courtney and her family, Clint, Alicia, and a friend Natalie, my dad, and Diana. I opened my presents, all of which, I absolutely LOVED! David's Dad, Dave and his wife, Debbie came over a little bit later and joined in the cake eating! A couple of my friends, Briana and Jordan also came over and it was a lot of fun!The next day was the big ASU vs. Georgia State game, and of course the fam was getting together to watch! It was a lot of fun to spend the afternoon with everyone, even if ASU played terrible!!!It was so good to have a break from work and to get to spend the weekend with my family!

Work is getting kind of crazy for a couple of reasons! First of all, our move to our new branch is coming up faster than we thought, and we have to box everything up which fills up our already tiny back room we like to call "the Closet". It's amazing how many people you can fit in a room the size of a small hallway! Secondly, in case you didn't know, working at a bank when the economy sucks does not put you on everyone's list of "favorite people!" Everyone is very cranky when they go to the bank, and when people don't have money, it's definitely not due to the fact that they have spent it...oh, no, that's not the case...NATURALLY it's my fault for being the teller giving this information! haha! It just amazes me as to how funny some people can be! I really do love my job!!!

It's finally getting cooler in the heat hole that I like to call Arizona! Last night, David and I went to the movies and I was really excited that I actually got to wear a Jacket! I LOVE jacket weather and I am so glad that it's finally here! It's when we have this cool breezy weather that I remember why I LOVE Arizona! Great weather, no snow!

(I was hoping to put some pictures up from my birthday, but I can't find my cord to connect the camera to the computer, so when I find it, I will put those on!)

Three Months Later...I promise we are still alive!!!

SO...I have gotten enough grief from people to come the conclusion that I need to update this thing a little. Life is excellent right now! We had a blast at Big Lake over the summer and now we are back in the swing of regular old life. Last week, we celebrated our first anniversary and we were both so excited! Believe it or not, we made it a whole year being married and we lived to tell about it!!! YAY!!! :) The year flew by and I can't believe that he has stuck with me through all of my stubborn, red-headed moments! We have so much fun together, and each day I spend with him I find myself noticing new things to love about him!

Life is going great right now! We had a little bit of a rough patch when David was laid off from his job, but he started a new job a few weeks ago and he absolutely LOVES it! It is so good to see him excited to go to work in the mornings and to actually still be in a good mood when he gets home after a ten hour day! He is such a hard worker and I am so grateful for his awesomeness!!! I am really beginning to love my job at Bank of America. We are getting ready to move into a brand new free standing banking center. Right now, I work at an in-store location and so we are opened extended hours seven days a week. With the new center, I will officially be able to say that I have "bankers hours". I am so excited for that!

David has just recently discovered that he really enjoys cooking. A couple weeks ago, we were just hanging around the apartment waiting to go to my grandma's house to watch the ASU game with my mom and my aunt Brenda. I was sitting on the couch and I kept smelling something from the kitchen. I just figured that David was making something for him to eat for lunch so I didn't really think anything of it. The next thing I knew, he was walking into the living room with a bag of tortilla chips and a bowl of a dip that he had "created" topped off diced green onion to make it "pleasing to the eye", as he put it! It was so funny because he was so proud of his invention! It was so fun to see his sense of accomplishment when he tasted it in front of me and it was actually good! His eyes lit up with excitement!

Our life is great right now and I am so excited to see what is in store for us! I will do my best to get better about this whole blogging thing!!!
